Andreas Tinhofer

TINHOFER is an employment law boutique formed in 2020 by the attorney at law Dr. Andreas Tinhofer, LL.M. TINHOFER aims to provide high quality employment law services to its clients wherever they do business. To do this, TINHOFER is working in co-operation with Littler Austria (www.littler-austria.at), which is part of Littler Global, the world‘s largest employment and labour law practice with more than 1,700 attorneys in 100+ offices worldwide. Littler Austria is led by the founding partner Mag. Markus Löscher and currently consists of two attorneys at law and one associate.

Andreas Tinhofer has been advising employers and managers for 20 years in all employment law matters, including employee data protection and company pensions. His expertise encompasses issues such as working time, employee representative matters (including work agreements), restructuring and social plan negotiations, independent contractors, company pensions, posting of workers, termination of employment and post-employment restrictions. Further to this, Andreas regularly represents clients before the Austrian courts and other public authorities (e.g. Ombud for Equal Treatment and Conciliation Boards).

Andreas has published numerous articles on various employment law issues. These include business transfers, dismissals, service agreements of board members and posting of workers. Since 2009 he has acted as National Correspondent of the international legal journal European Employment Law Cases (EELC).

Andreas is a graduate of the University of Vienna (Dr. iur. 2000) and the University of Exeter (LLM 1995), with additional study at the Université Paris II (1992). After graduation, Andreas researched and lectured as an Assistant Professor in employment law at the Vienna University of Economics and Business (WU Wien), while frequently speaking at seminars for executives and HR managers.

Andreas is currently a member of the Vienna Bar Association, the Austrian Society of Employment Law and Social Law, the International Society of Employment Law and Social Law, and the European Employment Lawyers’ Association (EELA). Andreas’ working languages are German and English.
